Twit-arr Pre-Embarkation Registration

Prerequisites

  1. Your six-character registration code provided by The Home Office. Reminder that this code is unique to YOU. Codes may be used to create one account ONLY. If other members of your booking did not receive a code, have them reach out to info@jococruise.com.

  2. A computing device such as a mobile telephone, tablet, or laptop.

Account Creation

Accounts are new every year. Instructions are provided below for web and native iOS/Android devices. We suggest using the native iOS/Android apps first with web as a secondary option.

Web

  1. Visit https://start.twitarr.com on any device (does not need to be your phone).

  2. Click the Create Account button.

  3. Review the guidelines and codes of conduct then press I Agree.

  4. Fill out the account form. When done, click Create Account.

    • Enter your registration code (spaces and capitalization do not matter)
    • Pick a username
    • Optionally specify a display name
    • Enter your desired password (Do not forget your username and password! You will need them to log in once on board).
  5. The next screen will present you with an account recovery key. WRITE DOWN OR SCREENSHOT THIS KEY! It is the only way to recover a lost password, and it will be shown to you only once right now. When you’re done click I’m Ready.

Android

You can use the same steps as Web above or the native Android app Tricordarr.

  1. Install Tricordarr from the Google Play Store and launch it.

  2. Press the blue Pre-Registration button in the lower left corner of the welcome screen.

  3. Ensure the Server is set to Start with a URL of https://start.twitarr.com then press Next.

  4. Review the guidelines and codes of conduct then press I Agree.

  5. Select Create Account then fill out the form. When done, press Create.

    • Enter your registration code (spaces and capitalization do not matter)
    • Pick a username
    • Enter your desired password (Do not forget your username and password! You will need them to log in once on board).
  6. The next screen will present you with an account recovery key. WRITE DOWN OR SCREENSHOT THIS KEY! It is the only way to recover a lost password, and it will be shown to you only once right now. When you’re done press Acknowledged. It will return you to the account screen where you can press Next.

  7. You will be asked to optionally enable notifications and make a battery optimization setting change. After making your choices, press Next.

  8. Press Finish to complete the setup wizard after which the app will be available to use.

iOS

You can use the same steps as Web above or one of the native apps:

The Kraken does not support Pre-Embarkation Registration at this time. Follow the Web and/or Tricordarr (Android) instructions above for those respective tools.

We suggest downloading both apps before sailing and trying both out on-board. Not all features are available in all apps.

Available Actions

These are the features available during Pre-Embarkation Registration.

User Profile

View/create a user profile for yourself. For example you can add a picture or avatar, pronouns, contact info, a bio, and more.

Schedule

If the schedule has been released you can also Follow events in the Schedule tab to add them to your daily planner and receive in-app notifications once on-board.

Favorite Users

Tricordarr only. Add the usernames of your friends to a quick access list. This also enables them to call you on-board using KrakenTalk™, the Twit-arr voice communication protocol.

For Shadow Event Organizers

You can optionally create a separate performer profile that is linked to your shadow event. This may be displayed along with event information. Your Performer Profile is unique and unrelated to your User Profile (see information above). It is also not publicly linked to your User Profile.

The Performer Profile can only be created once the schedule has been released. If you are presenting a shadow event and we have the schedule: Use the web or Tricordarr to go to the Schedule page and find your event. Click on it then press Set Organizer (or long-press in the app) Fill out as much or as little as you’d like then press Submit/Save. If you are hosting multiple Shadow Events you can press Set Organizer on all of them to link to your Performer Profile. You can only have one Performer Profile for all events.
